Jewson launches free self build consultation service

Jewson, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of sustainable timber and building materials, has launched a free no obligation consultation service offering practical advice for anyone undertaking a self build project. The Jewson Self Build Consultation Service has been designed to offer detailed guidance from the planning stages to final installation. Customers can request for a Jewson sales executive to visit the site to discuss anything from bricks and blocks to renewable technologies such as solar PV systems, rainwater harvesting and ground source heat pumps.

In addition, existing Jewson customers can by appointment take advantage of free entrance to the Greenworks Training Academy in Birmingham. The facility allows account holders to come along and gain hands-on knowledge of sustainable product solutions and renewable technologies. This practical training is complemented by free e-learning modules, which provide easy access to useful information focused on the green building agenda and the latest Building Regulations.

Other benefits of the Jewson Self Build Consultation Service include a £20,000 Jewson credit facility, a free copy of the Jewson Sustainable Building Guide, personalised prices across 400,000 products and a support network of over 480 branches nationwide. Jewson has a wealth of experience in the self build sector and recently addressed attendees of Grand Designs Live to impart advice and guidance to people looking to undertake a self build project.

Lee Broomhall, Self Build Project Leader at Jewson commented: “Building your own home is a significant investment and can be hugely challenging. Whatever the style or scale of the project – Jewson has been working with self-build customers for many years and has a wealth of expertise as well as the building materials and renewable technologies available to make the build a success“.
