The Code of Sustainable Homes MAN1 issue awards credits where a Home User Guide is provided upon completion of the construction of the home. The Code for Sustainable Homes guide defines a Home User Guide as
A guide to occupants of the dwelling that contains necessary details about the everyday use of the home in a form that is easy for users to understand.
Two Code for Sustainable Homes credits are available where the Home User Guide addresses a range of issues associated with the operation of the building. An additional credit is available when the Home User Guide also addresses topics that are related to the site and surroundings of the home.
Planning for Sustainability’s Sustainable Design team is experienced in preparing Home User Guides that comply with the Code for Sustainable Homes requirements to achieve all three credits.
